Our Commitment to Privacy
HUMM. understands that your information is very important to you therefore we will not share any of your personal information with other parties unless you specifically consent to it. To obtain the highest security for processing payments, we use stripe (www.stripe.com) to process your credit card transactions. We do not store any of your credit card information.
Notif of Information We Collect and How We Use it
When you visit our Website, you may provide us with two types of information: (1) Website use information collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our Website; and (2) personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis. Our purpose for collecting your personal information is primarily for the safety and trust of the community. We want everyone to have a safe, customized and enjoyable experience. So only the personal information that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose will be collected. If you do not register as a member to our Website, you can only browse a certain area of the Website, and will not be able to conduct any transactions on this Website. Once you register, we will be able to provide you with a more complete and customized experience.
1. Website Use Information
Similar to other commercial websites, our Website utilizes a standard technology called “cookies” (see explanation below, “What Are Cookies?”) and Web server logs to collect information about how our Website is used. Information gathered through cookies and Web server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our Website, and the Websites visited just before and just after our Website. This information is collected on an aggregate basis. None of this information is associated with you as an individual.
Like other websites, we gather information about our Website traffic and store it in log files. This information includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, and aggregate it with other pieces of information to analyze trends and improve the Website. Pages of the Website may also use devices that permit us to count users who have visited those pages and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity).
Cookies are a feature of Web browser software that allows Web servers to recognize the computer used to access a Website. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by a user’s Web browser on the user’s hard drive. Cookies can remember what information a user accesses on one Web page to simplify subsequent interactions with that Website by the same user or to use the information to streamline the user’s transactions on related Web pages. This makes it easier for a user to move from Web page to Web page and to complete commercial transactions over the Internet. Cookies should make your online experience easier and more personalized.
We use both session ID and persistent cookies. A session cookie expires when you close your browser. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our Website. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” file. If you reject cookies, you may still use our Website, but your ability to use some areas of our Website, will be limited.
Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
We employ a software technology called clear gifs, also referred to as web beacons or web bugs, that help manage content on the Website by tracking what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.
How Do We Use this Non-Person Information?
We use Website browser software tools such as cookies and Web server logs to gather information about our Website users’ browsing activities, in order to constantly improve our Website and better serve our customers. This information assists us to design and arrange our Web pages in the most user-friendly manner and to continually improve our Website to better meet the needs of our customers and prospective customers.
Cookies help us collect important business and technical statistics. The information in the cookies lets us trace the paths followed by users to our Website as they move from one page to another. Web server logs allow us to count how many people visit our Website and evaluate our Website’s visitor capacity. We do not use these technologies to capture your individual email address or any personally identifying information about you although they do permit us to send focused online banner advertisements or other such responses to you.
2. Person Information You Choose to Provide
To be able to enjoy most of the features of HUMM., including renting and listing dresses and accessories, you must first register via Facebook and create a username and password or alternatively, enter your email address. The reason we recommend Facebook registration is to verify your identity and to ensure trust in the community. We also require your phone number and address at the time of reservation so that the renter knows (if meet option is selected) where to pick up and drop off your item for rent.
How Do We Use the Information That Your Provide to Us?
Broadly speaking, we use this information to conduct research on demographics, interests, and behavior for purposes of administering our business activities, providing customer service, and to better serve you and our community. Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our Website, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable. The lists used to send you product and service offers are developed and managed under our traditional corporate standards designed to safeguard the security and privacy of our customers’ personal information. As a customer, you will be given the opportunity, at least once annually, to notify us of your desire not to receive these offers.
Except as discussed below, we do not share Personally Identifiable Information with Third Parties.
When you reserve and pay for a dress or accessory, we will need certain personally identifiable information from you to ensure trust within this community. You must have completed the contact information on your profile, and the financial information (such as a credit card number and expiration date) as well as your bank information so that any payment is automatically made to your bank account.
We do not store any of your credit card or bank information. For security reasons, all credit card and bank information will be stored with our payment processing agent Stripe (www.stripe.com). For that reason, we ask that you do not send confidential personal information such as Social Security or account numbers to us through an unsecured email. If we have trouble with any transaction/rental, we will use the contact information you provided to contact you.
When you post messages on our Website and other public message areas or leave feedback for other users, we collect the information you post. This information is helpful to resolve disputes, provide customer support and troubleshoot problems as permitted by law.
If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on the Website, we may collect such information into a file specific to you. We reserve the right to terminate the accounts of visitors who use these services in a manner that is inconsistent with our Terms & Conditions.

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights; to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us or the Website; or in connection with an actual or proposed corporate transaction or insolvency proceeding involving all or part of the business or asset to which the information pertains.
Links to Other Website
We are not responsible for the practices employed by Websites linked to or from our Website nor the information or content contained therein. Often links to other Websites are provided solely as pointers to information on topics that may be useful to the users of our Website.
Access to Personally Identifiable Information
If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, delete or deactivate it by making the change on your account or by emailing us email@example.com .
The security of your personal information is very important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on the reservation tab, our third party payment processor encrypts that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and invulnerable to hackers or criminal activity. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Periodically, our operations and business practices are reviewed for compliance with corporate policies and procedures governing the security, confidentiality and quality of our information.
If you have any questions about security on our Website, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org .
